flok is coming. what is flok?

updated on 24 April 2023

We last updated you on flok™ at the end of last year. How time has flown! We are deep into development of the new app and research platform designed to improve care and treatment of all inborn errors of protein metabolism—including PKU, HCU, MSUD, Tyrosinemia, Urea Cycle Disorders and Organic Acidemias.

When flok launches later this year, it will replace HowMuchPhe.org, but it’s so much more. Visit the updated flok website for details.

What does flok do?

  • The app allows anyone with a metabolic disorder of protein metabolism to track how they eat, feel, move, and play and helps you better understand your own health.
  • The research platform will translate the lived experience of those with metabolic disorders into information to guide our internal research, plus clinicians, academics, and industry as they work to support our metabolic community.

We hope you’re interested in hearing more about flok (there’s a lot to say).

We’re looking forward to working with you to transform care & research for our community—and to having you join the flok!

Best,

Sarah Chamberlin
Executive Director

P.S. In the next few months we’ll be recruiting beta testers for the flok app. If you’re interested, be sure to visit flok.org and sign up for updates—those folks will be the first to get invites!
