The Board of Directors of flok Health (flok) announced new roles as of 1/20/2026 for the organization's founders, appointing Jeb Haber as flok’s first Chief Executive Officer and Sarah Chamberlin as Chief Program Officer as the nonprofit expands for the future.

These new roles for the founders address the rapid growth of flok and signal the expansion of management capacity at the organizational and program layers. As part of the initiative, flok will also add the new position of Chief Operating Officer. Haber will remain on the board with long-time board member Jerry Elkins succeeding him as President.

“The evolution of flok has been exciting and accelerated quickly,” said Jerry Elkins, the President-elect of the Board. "We are thrilled to have Jeb spend more of his time leading flok in a more hands-on managerial role and continue his 11-year partnership with Sarah.  Together they make an incredible team to guide our rare disease organization into a new era of growth and success.”

Haber has served as President of the flok Board (formerly National PKU News) since 2014. He brings more than 25 years of leadership and technology engineering experience, including his work at Microsoft as a Principal Program Manager Lead, where he focused on leading engineering teams within AI and consumer safety business groups. He is the father of a teenage daughter with PKU.

“The past three years have brought incredible growth and change at flok,” said Jeb Haber. “I am honored to help prepare flok for its next generation and look forward to widening my collaboration with Sarah, our staff, volunteers, and community partners. Our commitment to this community continues to drive us forward.”

Chamberlin is a founder of flok and has been the Executive Director of the organization (and its predecessor National PKU News) since 2015. Prior to flok, she worked in nonprofit advocacy and founded a tech development firm. Chamberlin developed the How Much Phe app in 2013 to support the low-protein diet of her newborn daughter with PKU; it has grown to support thousands of others in the Inherited Metabolic Disorder (IMD) community. She has been instrumental in the design and development of the new flok app.

According to Chamberlin, “This transition recognizes changes flok needs to make to achieve our goals, and I'm thrilled to have Jeb more closely connected to the day-to-day work of the organization. Having him on staff will allow our team to build the stability and capacity needed for the long term and let me focus my efforts on the programs and research that directly serve our community.”
